Azar Initiative Empowerment for the Less Privileged [popularly known as Azar Initiative] is a non-governmental, non-profit organization catering to the needs of older persons (age 60 and above), using the vehicles of healthcare, advocacy and social welfare interventions.

The name AZAR is Hebrew and it means ‘to help or to provide support. The name reflects the initiative’s goal to support and significantly improve the lives of elderly citizens by providing solutions to the inadequacies of elderly care in today’s world.
